Looking for affordable car rental in Antalya? Some offers start with a low daily rate and end with a bigger bill at the desk. A fair price is not the smallest number on a comparison page. It is the total you really pay, from the moment you land to the moment you return the car. Here is how we think about it, and what to check before you book with anyone.

You choose your dates, you see the price for those dates, and everything you choose while booking is already in the total shown at the end.

What a fair price should include

A price can only be compared with another price when both cover the same things. This is what ours includes, and what to look for in any offer:

• Insurance. Third-party liability insurance and a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) are included in every rental. The excess depends on the car and is shown during booking.
• No deposit, no card hold, no prepayment. Nothing is charged when you book and no card number is asked for. You pay when you collect the car, in cash or by card.
• Airport handover. Delivery and return at Antalya Airport are free, around the clock, night landings included.
• Flight tracking. You give us your flight number when booking. If your flight is late, the car waits for you at no extra charge.
• Free cancellation. You can cancel free of charge at any time before you collect the car.
• No hidden fees. Everything you choose while booking is in the total shown at the end, and the few things that can still add to the bill are listed below.

Five ways a low price can grow at the desk

Some offers that look cheap make up the difference elsewhere. Before you compare daily rates, compare these five things:

• The deposit. In our own review of 1,018 rental listings in Antalya, the median deposit was ₺4,000–4,500, and wherever one is taken, a credit card is what secures it. The money is not spent, but it is tied up for the whole rental.
• The cover. Is a damage waiver included, and what is the excess if something happens?
• The handover. Is it free at any hour, or only during office hours?
• A late flight. If your plane lands late, does the car still wait for you?
• The cancellation terms. If your plans change, can you cancel free of charge, and until when?

If the lowest offer fails on two or three of these, it may not be the better deal once everything is counted.

Choose the car that fits, not the one that costs more

Fair pricing also means not paying for space you do not need. Economy and compact cars suit two people exploring the coast and the city. A crossover or SUV is better for a family with luggage, and the 9-seat minivans are made for groups. Manual and automatic cars are both available, and the price for your dates is shown for every car, so you can compare before you decide.

What can still add to the bill, and how to avoid it

Nothing is hidden, and that includes the things that can cost extra. Return the car with the same fuel level as at pick-up, and on time: missing fuel or a late return can add costs. Tolls and traffic fines are not included in the rental price. Costs caused by the driver, such as a flat battery from lights left on, are yours, unless your protection package covers them.
