Car Rental Requirements in Antalya: Age, Licence, Documents

The requirements for renting a car in Antalya come down to a handful of points. Here they all are; the full wording is in our rental terms.

Age and licence age

Minimum age is 25, rising to 27 for our upper-class vehicles such as the 9-seat Hyundai Staria. Your driving licence must be at least 2 years old. The one exception is 9-seat minivans such as the Hyundai Staria, where we ask for 3 years.

A valid licence of the right category is enough. A standard category B licence covers every vehicle in our fleet.

Renting with a foreign licence

There are two cases:

• If your licence is printed in the Latin alphabet (Germany, Netherlands, Poland, UK, France and so on), it is valid as is. No extra document needed.
• If your licence uses Cyrillic or Arabic script (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia and similar), you need an International Driving Permit with it. The permit alone is not enough; it is always presented together with your national licence.

You get the International Driving Permit at home, usually from a national automobile club. Arranging one after you land in Turkey is difficult, so sort it out before you travel.

Documents to bring

• Driving licence (plus the international permit if required)
• Passport or ID card
• Your booking details

That is all. No utility bills, proof of address or bank statements are requested.

Payment and deposit

We take no prepayment. You do not enter card details when booking. There is no deposit and no hold blocked on your credit card. You pay when you collect the car, in cash or by card.

This matters more than it sounds. In many places a few hundred euros is blocked on your credit card and that part of your limit stays frozen until it is released. We do not do that, which also means you can rent without a credit card.

Pick-up and drop-off

Delivery and collection at Antalya Airport are free, 24/7. If you give us your flight number we track the flight; if it is delayed the car waits for you at no extra cost.

250 km per day and third-party liability insurance are included in the price. The car is returned with the same fuel level it was handed over with.

Extras

You can add a child seat and an additional driver; the prices are shown when you book. The second driver must meet the same age and licence conditions, and we simply need to see their licence at handover.

If anything is unclear about your own case (the script on your licence, its issue date, the vehicle class), ask before booking. Better than a surprise at the airport.
